Hello!

My name is Anya. Anya Elise is what I go by around these parts. I specialize in editorial and lifestyle photography. There’s a beautiful candor that exists in every event, whether an engagement or wedding celebration, a family photo shoot, or perhaps in the midst of a press conference. From a helicopter ride around your city, to a community’s New Year’s celebration, a certain honesty is there in the small details between the big displays. That’s where I like to sit and wait with camera in hand, to capture those discrete, sincere moments.

I am a staff photographer for the YourHub section of the Denver Post. Which means you can usually find me flying solo, rockin’ out loud karaoke-style to playlists as I drive to and from assignments all over the neighborhoods of the Denver metro area.

But sometimes, I have a co-pilot. His name is Dan Petty. Together we operate a photography studio called A&D Photography. And in the fall of 2013, we got hitched. It was the best day ever.
