Prior to last month’s wedding celebration just outside of Pittsburgh, I had never actually stepped foot in the famed city of steel. I envisioned it being a giant machine of urban manufacturing, concocted of steel widgets and whirligigs. (Not unlike what you might find in a Dr. Seuss illustration.)
As with all things in life, reality is never quite how you imagined it beforehand (there was not a whirligig in sight), but after getting only a few precious hours in this city, I left with a whetted appetite to return for a proper exploration soon.
(Why offer a side of fries when you can just pack them into the sandwich instead? Efficiency.)
(An ice skating rink that becomes a mini-golf course in the hot, summer months. Efficiency again.)
(Roswell of the east maybe.)
