The Stock Show!
Cows! Chickens! Rodeo! Dirt! Fried food!
The Show comes through Denver every year for two weeks in January. It has been an annual tradition for 105 years. And let me tell you, it’s a keeper. It’s very western, it’s very proud of that western heritage, and by being so, it makes you even more proud of your dear, western Colorado.
The National Western Stock Show is so huge that there’s no way to cover it in just one post. So saddle up, boys and girls, and get ready for a whole Stock Show week here on a.e.photography.
First off: chickens.
They look a wee sleepy.
They look a wee tiny. (And pretty adorable.)
They look a wee…like me?
Yes, you read that right. As we were wandering along rows of chickens, one of my dear companions may or may not have compared me to this sucker. Saying I must look similar upon waking. Implying that something about this dude’s hairstyle (Dude? Dudette? Sorry, buddy.) was reminiscent of my own.
I’ll leave it to you guys to decide.
