It’s time to do the next installment of our 10-on-10 disco, 2014-style. That means taking inventory and sharing a common theme with my fellow 10-on-10 gals. Courtney suggested we make that theme, rather fittingly, resolution/reflection. So buckle up, kids, here we go.
For a full-time photographer, it can sometimes start to feel like you’re on a treadmill of churning pixels and deadlines. I don’t want to give a false impression, I am honored to do the work that I’ve been given the opportunity to do. But there are small, particular moments when the stress and uncertainty can knock you down. They are weak and mostly fleeting, but at times entirely present.
I’m not sure there’s any real cure for the quiet doubts, but I find that small remedies can be mighty powerful.
(1) Let your creative mind run wild.
(2) Take a picture for no other reason than the colors are magnificent. The light divine.
(3) Don’t let a mild imperfection sway you.
(4) Photograph away like an unbridled bandit. Don’t stop shooting.
Give these ladies a little love and check out their own reflections, resolutions, and hopes for 2014. Thanks for stopping by.
