There are three people in this world who encompass all that I am, and exhibit all that I want to be. I am extremely blessed to come from a close-knit family, and get along with my siblings so well.
Chris – peering at you up there – is three years my junior. We joke however that we might as well be twins. He’s my person. He knows all my secrets, protects all my stories, encourages all my hopes, and keeps me accountable to my aspirations. He just gets me, and isn’t afraid to call me out when necessary.
Emily – on the left – is three years my senior. We grew up together sharing everything. When one of us got a new outfit for Christmas for instance, chances were really good the other got the exact same thing. We shared a room, a childhood, lots of laughs. As we’ve grown into adulthood, Emily has always kept me honest and well-fed. She knows how to calm me down with just the right kind of tea, or shut me up with just the right kind of snacks. And whenever we go on vacation together, she always makes sure to have plenty of first aid supplies, and disinfecting wipes when I inevitably spill something all over myself.
Elise – on the right – is the youngest of our family. She is a goofy, klutzy girl, but, so bright and downright gorgeous. She’s my model whenever I want to stage a photo shoot, and is by far the most fashionable of the four of us. She always makes me laugh and is my mirror in a lot of ways. I’m so excited to see where this gal goes in life.
This trio, they are my everything. I know I wouldn’t be nearly the person that I am today – nor would I be on the path that I’m treading – without their influence, support, courage and love.
This blog is largely to share my photographic exploits with you all, but sometimes I think it’s important to remember why we are who we are, and to celebrate the people who support and shape our lives.
