to the east || New England road trip

NEW YORK CITY — Hello my lovelies.

Today, I find myself in New York. That makes it sound like I awoke suddenly and voila’ here I was.

But really, it was intentional. Emily and I are here! After months of planning, we arrived. We flew out of Colorado, through Illinois, landed in Massachusetts, and drove to New York, all in one day. If you look up exhausted in the dictionary, you’ll see that sentence appear as the definition.

That was two days ago, and now we are in New York City.

I’ll have many photos forthcoming as our trip lasts for another eight days – eight! Longest trip ever! For me anyway. – of much of the New England countryside. For now though, Emily is enduring many moments just like that captured above (photographed today by yours’ truly on the Highline Canal in Manhattan).

But she’s taking it like a champ.
