There comes a time in every girl’s life when a girl just has to eat a waffle.
That girl is me.
And so I did.
Recently, some very good friends of mine moved to Denver. After only a few months in this city, one of them told me he had found the best waffles ever. Best. Waffles. Ever.
Quite a claim for a guy who hasn’t been in this neck of the woods for long.
And there comes a time in every girl’s life when a girl just has to test such claims.
That girl is also me.
And so I did.
My friend didn’t lie. If ever you’re in Denver, go to this place – Waffle Brothers – and eat an original waffle with something delicious on top. Like fresh strawberries. Or, I hear they make magic with Nutella. You shall not regret it.

A few weeks ago, I attended my first, professional soccer game. A co-worker is a season ticket holder to the Colorado Rapids, and had a number of free tickets for some friends to join him in the “fan experience” area. And boy did we experience.
This special area is feet away from the field, on large, wide risers, and involves a bunch of fans on their feet, cheering, participating in songs, waving flags (seen above), etc., etc.
At one point, when the Rapids scored, they unfurled this huge – HUGE – Colorado state flag over the risers so we were all covered as if under a large tent. It was awesome. And a little mildewy.
But such is life.

I have been informed in no uncertain terms that I have an appetite like a five year old. I feel this apple sauce cup that I packed in my lunch the other day doesn’t help my case.

However, to discount the five-year-old theory (not to be confused with a theory that is five years old…grammar, I tell ya), I went to a very lovely restaurant last night and dined on fine things, and photographed the intricate ceiling decor.
After waffles, you should go ahead and visit this restaurant too.
And finally, to finish this walk down Recent Lane:
(Recent #3 – although is nearly a month ago still considered “recent”??)
A typical conversation between sisters. I love my sisters. They are awesome. (For reference, the gray bubble is my sister, the green bubble is me. And for those of you out there who are color blind: the bubble on the left is my sister, the right one is me.)
And, scene.
