anticipation || Wedding photography

This is one of my favorite moments of a wedding day.

The months of planning are done. The hair and makeup are set. The dress is on. Guests are all seated. The music is seconds from changing into that classic tear jerker, the wedding march. The groom is on the other side of those doors, waiting to take her hand and become her partner in love and life.

And I swear, my heart starts beating faster every time I witness this moment. The sheer anticipation, the joy and excited nerves, the clenching of her father’s arm, even the way the doorman rests his hand on the handle, ready to swing the door open.

There’s a certain romance that lives in that happy tension. And I’m a total sucker for it!
