the monument || Paris postcard 02

I think I could write a whole post on the heart-fluttering capacity of the Eiffel Tower. With photos from every possible angle to boot. I know it’s cliche to be enamored with this well-known and overexposed monument (we saw two separate engagement/wedding sessions being photographed there as we walked to it; enough said). But there really is something gripping about it. There’s a romantic sense of timelessness here. It abounds. Well over a century old, you can’t help but think of the conversations that have occurred there. The lovers who have met there. The spats that have been quarreled there. The thousands and thousands of photographs that have been made there.

The memories, the moments, the monument. (Eiffel Tower people, if you need a new ad campaign, I’m your gal.)

It’s weird and goofy to fall for a structure turned national symbol, but I dare you to go visit La Tour Eiffel and not leave feeling the same way.
