  Do you smell that? That scent of promise, excitement, anticipation, joy, cows. Cows? Yes! Cows! This weekend marks the beginning of the 106th National Western Stock Show! Yeehaw! I fear the exclamation point key on my keyboard would give out if I used it as many times as necessary to adequately express my excitement.

Cowboys || National Western Stock Show

What do you think of when you think of “the west”? Rolling plains. Barns. Horses. Cows. Shootouts at high noon. John Wayne. Tumbleweed. (An east coast native asked me once if tumbleweed actually existed, or if it was just a Hollywood invention. True story.) And likely, if you’ve ever seen any Western movie ever: cowboys.
