“5 Minutes. Imagine you will completely lose your memory of 2010 in five minutes. Set an alarm for five minutes and capture the things you most want to remember about 2010.”

Continuing with my attempt to close out 2010 with a few reflections from the past year, here is another post care of a Reverb 10 prompt. It’s pretty self-explanatory, so on we forge.
Timer set…and…go!
- Shooting concerts and weekend music festivals.
- Moving to my lovely studio apartment in Denver.
- Developing friendships with other photographers/journalists in Denver.
- Going to New York to see friends’ first theatre production.
- Rock climbing.
- Not dying while rock climbing.
- Wandering Washington, D.C., and the surrounding area with my sister (Frank!).
- Embarking on hikes in which we got totally sidetracked by photography.
- Deciding to throw caution to the wind and pursue photography as a career option.
- Exploring downtown Morrison after-dark.
- Visiting San Francisco and seeing my family and reveling in the haven that my aunt and uncle found out there.
- The starfish rescue.
- Diving back into the world of shooting on film.
- Wandering the country part of New Jersey (yes, I too was surprised a “country part” of New Jersey even exists.)
- Meeting the people closest to Ryan Jobes and sharing in their celebration of his life.
- Coffee conversations with CFW.
- Molly and Hugh.
- Attempting to do pilates with my sister in a tiny studio apartment (no one was hurt in the making of this endeavor…mostly).
- Realizing how similar me and my brother are. (It’s freaky.)
- Lingering in a car, having deep conversations late into the night after work.
- Promising to work harder toward my goal.
What are your cherished memories of 2010? This was a fun little exercise and I’d encourage you all to give it a whirl. (And by “encourage” I mean, go do it posthaste and report back to me. Not to be too demanding or anything.)
And scene.
