The jungle motif || Result of weekend arts

I walked into the pottery house to retrieve our masterpieces last Friday.

The woman who owns the place (I’m almost positive she’s the co-owner), rooted around the shelves for the two creations. Upon seeing Emily’s (the mug in the left photo), she exclaimed, “Wow, this is lovely!”

When she saw my finished product, the vase…crickets.

Nothing.

Total silence.

Does-someone-have-a-pin-because-I-want-to-see-if-I-can-hear-it-drop-sort of quiet.

And I can only take silence to mean disapproval.

I suppose a jungle motif isn’t for everyone.

Up until 10 days ago, I didn’t think it was for me either. My brain however doth think otherwise.

And it’s really the driving influence around this joint.
