Anatomy of fancy || Still life photography

For Day 2 of Operation Two Dozen Years (I like to pretend I’m in a James Bond film…), a gentleman caller whisked me off to a fancy dinner downtown (although, gentleman caller is less Bond, more Scarlett O’Hara…). Which, when you live downtown, is only about 10 minutes away.

But still!

Instead of focusing on just getting ready (Sidebar: have I ever told you that I prepped for my senior prom in only 20 minutes? Granted, this was after I decided my current hair-do idea just wasn’t doing it for me, and I dunked my head under the faucet. But still!), I decided it would be more fun to set up some detail shots around my apartment.

And so I did.

Then rushed around all crazy like in the last twenty minutes before my gentleman caller arrived.

Hey, stick to your strengths.

Artsy? Or all I had time for before said whisking away occurred?

I’ll let you be the judge.
