There’s nothing quite like photographing beautifully colored vegetables in natural light.
There’s nothing quite like being so inspired by the natural light mixing with the contrasting vegetables that you come up with a file name so lyrical as natural light vegetables.
There’s nothing quite like just going with it and making that the title of this post too.
There’s nothing quite like getting so fed up with a particularly ridiculous photographer/blogger/babbler that you click out of the browser as quickly as possible, never to return again.
It’s OK, I won’t hold it against you.
I’ve been increasingly inspired by food photography in recent months. When properly styled (and shot in beautiful natural light…naturally), the photos quite grab my attention.
I like the scenes. I like looking as if through a window at the small snapshot of another life. It’s the same as when I look at some commercial photography. Magazine or catalog ads for instance. Look through an Anthropologie catalog, they are experts at this. They don’t just line up their products alongside price tags. Rather, they set a scene that creates a whole storyline in just one frame. It’s impressive the amount of time, talent and thought that goes into something like that. Take a look.
In any case, I digress.
The point here is, contrary to popular belief, I don’t subsist off waffles 7-days-a-week. (Though the evidence suggests otherwise.) I do, on increasing occasions, dive into the world of vegetables.
And then get distracted by photographing them.
Because I’m a photographer.
What did you expect really?
