way back when || Denver engagement photography
Guys! I’m back! I’ve returned. I’m sorry I left for so long. Life, photographing a wedding and two engagement sessions (and an illness made manifest in the form of much sneezing and coughing) waylaid me for a time. It feels like ages have passed since last we talked. How are you?
When I was in high school, way back when, I took a couple of photography classes. They were more of the film, how to work in a darkroom developing prints variety, but photography nonetheless. I had no idea at the time that I would one day develop my life into one entirely surrounded by photography. (There’s a little photography joke for your Monday.)
I also had no idea that I would one day have the joy of photographing a couple of my friends from those way back when, high school days.
Brent and Brittany have been together since then, and are really a beautiful couple. We used to all sing our hearts out in choir together, and I just love being able to see how their story has grown since the do-re-mi’s of those days.
Dan and I will be photographing their wedding in July. I’m really looking forward to joining them on that day, surrounded by several other good friends that we’ve held close since high school, celebrating the next phase of their life.

I’ll be back with details from the other engagement session, the wedding, and general lively discussions about such things including – but not limited to – literature, movies, family, the mountains, rain, and my mission to reintroduce the word “vex” into my every day lexicon. Stay tuned!
