One year ago today, I took this photo from the balcony of my friend’s apartment.

Many things have changed since then. Some have stayed the same.

Same: Place of work.

Change: Place I call my own.

Same: My eye and hair color.

Change: My age.

Same: Love of photography.

Change: Cadence of aspirations.

Same: Love for my family.

Change: Family’s love for me. (I’m just kidding. They still claim me as one of their own…most days.)

Same: One lingual. (OK seriously, is their a singular form of bilingual? Uno-lingual. American?)

Change: Decision to learn French.

Same: Blogging.

Change: Blog site.

Same: Outlook.
